Every blog needs a first post, and ours starts with a confession: we cannot stop hitting repeat. This little corner of the internet exists because a few friends kept texting each other songs at odd hours, and eventually the group chat couldn’t hold the enthusiasm anymore. So here we are, writing it down.

The plan is simple. We listen to a lot of music — old and new, polished and rough — and we write about the moments that stick. Sometimes that means a deep dive into an album’s production. Sometimes it means a single line of a chorus that follows you to the grocery store and refuses to leave.

Speaking of refusing to leave: we’d be dishonest if we didn’t open with one of the most durable pop singles ever pressed. It is impossibly bouncy, relentlessly sincere, and it has soundtracked more inside jokes than we can count. There’s a reason it keeps resurfacing decade after decade — underneath the meme is a genuinely tight piece of songwriting.

Listen to the way the bassline struts and the gated drums snap. It’s a masterclass in late-80s pop craft, the kind of record engineered to lodge itself in your head and stay there rent-free for thirty-odd years.

Stick around. We’ll be posting whenever something grabs us, which is often. Bring headphones.
